Ayurveda is an ancient complete medical science that treats illnesses at their root. It is based on the principle of promotion of health and prevention of illness rather than disease elimination. Ayurveda focuses on maintaining health by balancing the three physiological forces of the body (Doshas) - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha which translates to Air, Fire, and Water.

Ayurvedic skin care can include purifying and rejuvenating therapies designed to eliminate toxins, mental exhaustion, as well as relieve stress and any ill effects on the central nervous system. Some of these remedies may help in the treatment of muscle tension, reduce anxiety , vata imbalance.  A clearing and unblocking the central channels to  restore balance. A detox or herbal cleanse when the seasons change is a cornerstone to an Ayurvedic lifestyle. By simplifying your diet, practicing yoga, meditation, mantras, and  using cleansing herbs the body is given a chance to rest, release toxins, and reset back to vibrant well-being.

Shirodhara

Shirodhara comes from two Sanskrit words, where ‘Shiro’ means ‘head’ and ‘dhara’ implies to ‘pouring or  dripping or pouring of warm herbal Ayurvedic oils on the forehead allowing the oil to run through the scalp and down into the hair. The oil , milk , or water is steeped with nervine herbs and is also beneficial for treating people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, muscle pain, and stress working on multiple layers of the being.
